Bajaj Chetak Electric – Range, Top Speed, Charging Time, Price
Bajaj Chetak, the iconic scooter brand, has finally returned to India after almost 14 years. The all-new model of the scooter will come under the company’s new Urbanite sub-division. While production of the 2019 Bajaj Chetak electric scooter has already begun at company’s Chakan plant, its launch will happen in January 2020.
Engine
Powering the 2019 Bajaj Chetak electric is a 4kW electric motor coupled t an IP67-rated lithium-ion battery pack with NCA (Nickel Cobalt Aluminum Oxide) cells.
Range and Top Speed

Charging Time
The 2019 Bajaj Chetak electric will have a non-swappable battery that can be charged via a standard household 5-15 ampere power socket.

Availability and Price
The 2019 Bajaj Chetak electric will be first made available in Pune, followed by Bengaluru and across the nation. The new electric scooter, which will be a beneficiary of the government’s FAME II scheme, will be priced below Rs 1.5 lakh (ex-showroom). It will be sold via Bajaj Pro-Biking sales network.
