Further expanding its highly popular flagship SUV lineup, Audi India has introduced the Q7 petrol model at Rs 67.76 lakh (ex-showroom). At this price, the new Audi Q7 petrol will go up against the BMW X5, Mercedes-Benz GLS petrol and the upcoming Range Rover Velar. The Q7 petrol variant uses a 248bhp, 2.0-litre, four-cylinder TFSI engine paired to an 8-speed automatic transmission and Audi’s Quattro AWD system.
Now, the Audi Q7 SUV is available in four variants – 45 TDI Quattro Premium Plus diesel, 45 TDI Quattro Technology diesel, 40 TFSI Quattro Premium Plus petrol and 40 TFSI Quattro Technology petrol. The new petrol version will appeal buyers who are looking for petrol-engined luxury SUV. Due to declining demand of the diesel cars, the Ingolstadt-based car manufacturer plans to introduce petrol version of all its models towards the end of this year. The new Q7 40 TFSI Quattro Premium Plus petrol comes with a price tag of Rs 67.76 lakh, and the 40 TFSI Quattro Technology petrol is priced at Rs 74.43 lakh (all, ex-showroom). On the other hand, the 45 TDI Quattro Premium Plus diesel variant is available at Rs 70.12 lakh and the 45 TDI Quattro Technology model costs Rs 77.84 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). Under the hood, the Audi Q7 40 TFSI features a new 2.0-litre TFSI turbocharged petrol engine mated to an 8-speed automatic Tiptronic transmission. This gasoline unit churns out a maximum power output of 251.5bhp (255PS) at 5,000rpm-6,000rpm and 370Nm of torque between 1,600rpm- 4,500rpm. It can accelerate 0-100kmph in 6.8 seconds, and offers a top speed of 233kmph.
On the other hand, the diesel version uses a 3.0-litre V-Type motor making 245.41bhp between 2,910rpm-4,500rpm and 600Nm of torque at 1,500rpm – 3,000rpm. Audi Q7 Petrol Mileage
The Q7’s new 2.0-litre TFSI turbo petrol unit receives minor upgrades including a revised exhaust manifold, innovative thermal management system and Audi’s valve-lift system. With all aforementioned technologies, the Q7 petrol is claimed to deliver high fuel efficiency. The new Q7 petrol delivers a mileage around 13.55kmpl. Audi Q7 Petrol Exterior & Interior Features
The original design and dimensions remains intact. The SUV continues to feature the Matrix LED headlamps with variable intensity, single frame Audi grille, 20-inch alloy wheels, LED tail lamps and twin exhaust pipes. As for the dimensions, the car measures 5,050mm in length, 1,970mm in width and has a wheelbase of 2,990mm.
Similar to its diesel counterpart, the Audi Q7 40 TFSI petrol is brimming with lots of comfort and entertainment features. The SUV features the MMI infotainment system navigated via MMI Touch, a 12.3-inch Audio Virtual Cockpit screen, Bose 3D sound system with two USB ports and a Bluetooth interface.
