The German luxury auto manufacturer, Audi had commenced its Indian operations with six products (A3, A4, A6, Q3, Q5 and Q7) in 2007. The company has now completed a decade in the country. To celebrate the occasion, Audi India has introduced special editions of its two popular cars – A6 sedan and Q7 SUV. Christened as Audi A6 Design Edition and Audi Q7 Diesel Edition, the vehicles are priced at Rs 56.78 lakh and Rs 81.99 lakh (ex-showroom, Pan India) respectively.
The Design Edition of both the vehicles receives a bunch of exclusive features over the regular models. Since these are just special editions, only limited units of the cars will be sold across the country. In India, Audi A6 sedan goes up against the BMW 5-Series, Volvo S90, Jaguar XF and Mercedes E-Class. On the other hand, the Audi Q7 competes against the Mercedes GLS and the Volvo XC90.

Talking about the Audi A6 Design Edition, this limited model comes with the standard 19-inch aluminium alloy wheels with 5-semin V-spoke design and rear-seat entertainment screens. On the contrary, the Audi Q7 Design Edition features five-spoke, 20-inch alloy wheels, gloss black finish on running boards and exhaust tips and smoked tail lamps. Both the vehicles get projection door puddle lamps with signature logo and Audi Smartphone Interface with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity. Power for the Audi A6 Design Edition comes from the same 2.0-litre diesel engine that pushes out a peak power of 187bhp and a peak torque of 400Nm. On the other hand, the Audi Q7 Design Edition continues to features the standard 3.0-litre diesel motor developing a maximum power output of 245bhp while yielding 600Nm of peak torque. The SUV is capable of achieving 0-10kmph in 7.1 seconds while maintaining a top speed of 234kmph.
