All New Nissan Livina MPV Unveiled; To Challenge Ertiga & Mobilio

As of now, Nissan has no plan to bring in Livina MPV in the Indian market.

The new-generation Nissan Livina MPV has finally been unveiled for the Indonesian market. Based on the new Mitsubishi Xpander, this new compact van will take on the Suzuki Ertiga, Honda Mobilio, Daihatsu Xenia and Toyota Avanza. The Livina, which was first introduced in 2006, has been retailed in South Africa, Middle East, Brazil, China and other SouthEast Asian markets. As of now, Nissan has no plan to bring in Livina MPV in the Indian market. Though, Mitsubishi is considering the Xpander MPV for India. The new 2019 Nissan Livina shares a few design bits with the Xpander. Though, it gets Nissan’s signature new radiator grille with V-shaped chrome insert, revised front and rear bumpers, new hood and newly-designed alloy wheels.

Compared to Mitsubishi Xpander, the 2019 Nissan Livina is 35mm longer and 5mm shorter. Though, the width, wheelbase and ground clearance of both the vehicles are same – i.e. 1,750mm, 2,775mm and 200mm respectively. Read – Nissan Leaf Hatchback India Launch Confirmed

Save for the signature badging on the steering wheel, the interior of the 2019 Nissan Livina is exactly similar to the Mitsubishi Crossvan. The MPV has second row of seats and third row seats with folding ratio of 60:40 and 50:50 respectively. Features such as multimedia system with touchscreen and a rear view camera are reserved for the top-spec trim. The list of standard features includes air conditioning, dual airbags and ABS. Under the hood, the 2019 Nissan Livina features a 1.5-litre four-cylinder MIVEC petrol engine with 5-speed manual and a 4-speed automatic transmission options. Its power and torque outputs stand at 104bhp and 141Nm respectively. The MPV comes with front-wheel-drive only.
