All-new Mahindra Scorpio – New Sketch Based on Spy Shots
It is no secret that Mahindra is working on the next generation Scorpio SUV, which is scheduled to be launched in early 2020. The new model is expected to be unveiled at the 2020 Auto Expo. The 2020 Mahindra Scorpio has already been spotted multiple times during its test rounds. A new sketch based on the spy images available on the internet reveals the design of the new 2020 Mahindra Scorpio.
The overall silhouette remains intact, while the SUV gets premium and bulky SUV look. The sketches reveal a more inclined windscreen, newly designed radiator front grille with vertical slates, rectangular headlights and new bumper. The new model will grow in size and will have larger overhangs to free up space for the 3rd row of seats.
Thanks to the raised length, the next-gen Scorpio will come with forward facing third-row seats. The cabin design will be all-new and will be inspired by the Alturas G4. It will be equipped with a large touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay support, new steering wheel, new instrument console and improved seats. The 2020 Mahindra Scorpio will be powered by a newly developed BSVI compliant 2.0-litre diesel engine, which is likely to produce around 160bhp of power. Transmission options are likely to include a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed torque convertor automatic. A 4WD system is likely to be offered as an option.
