Prices of the new Maruti Fronx compact crossover are expected to be announced in the first week of April 2023. Once launched, the model will go up against the Renault Kiger and Nissan Magnite. It’s a Nexa exclusive offering that’s estimated to cost between Rs 7 lakh – Rs 11 lakh. Under the hood, the compact crossover features a 1.0L, 3-cylinder turbo petrol and a 1.2L, 4-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol motor. Boosted with mild hybrid tech, both engines deliver power worth 100bhp with 147.6Nm and 90bhp with 113Nm respectively. The Fronx will come in Sigma, Delta, Delta+, Zeta and Alpha trims. The Maruti Jimny 5-door SUV is reported to go on sale towards the end of May 2023. The model has been receiving overwhelming response even before its market launch. And proof of it lies in the fact that the Jimny’s bookings crossed 23,500 mark so far. It will be made available in Zeta and Alpha trims and a 103bhp, 1.5L K15B petrol engine. There will be two gearboxes on offer – a 5-speed manual and a 4-speed torque convertor automatic. Features such as Suzuki’s AllGrip Pro drivetrain system with a dedicated low-ratio transfer case, 50 degree departure angle, 36 approach angle and 24 ramp over angle and 210mm ground clearance enhance its off-road capabilities. The updated Kia Seltos SUV is likely to hit roads by mid 2023. Significant changes will be made to its exterior and interior. Similar to the new Verna sedan, the 2023 Kia Seltos facelift will come with the Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) tech along with a new 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster and slightly revised dashboard. Major update will be made under the hood. The SUV will receive a new 160bhp, 1.5L turbo petrol engine replacing the existing 140bhp, 1.4L turbo petrol unit. Honda’s new midsize SUV is certainly one of the much-awaited upcoming new SUVs in India. The model will debut in the month of April and its market launch is likely to happen by July – September 2023. The SUV is likely to share its powertrains with the City sedan – i.e. a 1.5L Atkinson cycle with e:HEV hybrid tech and a 1.5L iVTEC petrol. While the strong hybrid setup makes 109bhp and 253Nm of torque, the gasoline unit delivers 121bhp and 145Nm. The official teaser shows its silhouette and angular front fascia featuring LED headlamps. The 2023 Tata Harrier and Safari facelifts are reported to be launched in the next couple of months. Bookings for the updated new SUVs have already been commenced. Both models will share some of their design elements with the Harrier EV concept that was previewed at this year’s Auto Expo. The biggest feature upgrade will come in the form of the ADAS suite. The SUVs will also get a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity and a new 7-inch digital driver display. The Safari’s new model will also get powered co-passenger seat with boss function and electrically adjustable driver’s seat with memory function. No changes will be made to their engines. Tata Nexon Facelift

The updated Tata Nexon is currently in its testing phase and expected to arrive at showrooms by mid 2023. If reports are to be believed, the SUV’s new model will come with Tata’s new 1.2L turbo petrol engine that’s good enough for 123bhp and 225Nm. The motor was first unveiled at the 2023 Delhi Auto Expo. The new Nexon will also be available with the 115bhp, 1.5L turbo diesel engine. It might also receive DCT automatic gearbox, sourced from the Altroz hatchback. In terms of features, there could ADAS suite along with a new 7-inch digital TFT instrument cluster, steering wheel and seat upholstery. A few noticeable changes will also be made to its exterior.
