4 new Maruti Suzuki Cars launching this year in India

In order to drive sales, Maruti plans to launch 4 new cars over the period of next 8-9 months.

Maruti Suzuki currently commands over half of the market share in the Indian car market. However, the brand’s sales have remained under pressure since the starting of the year 2019. In fact, in April it registered a drastic decline of 19.6% in the domestic market. The Indo-Japanese brand have warned its dealers of a tough year ahead with multiple challenges like new safety norms, negative market sentiments, decline in diesel sales and new emission norms. In order to drive sales, Maruti plans to launch 4 new cars over the period f next 8-9 months.

Suzuki Ertiga 6 seater

The Indo-Japanese automaker is readying a sportier and feature-loaded version of the Ertiga MPV. Likely to be called Ertiga Sport, the new model will be sold through NEXA premium dealerships. It will be offered in six-seat option with captain seats for all 3 rows. The MPV will get sporty body kit with side skirts, prominent bumper, new grille with black treatment, rear spoiler and new alloys. New Maruti ZEN mini SUV

Maruti Suzuki will launch the mini SUV based on the Concept Future S in the country this year. This model is likely to be called the new Maruti ZEN and will challenge the Renault Kwid, Mahindra KUV100 NXT and the upcoming Tata H2X mini SUV. The new ZEN will be based on the new HEARTECT platform that also underpins the new Wagon R. It is likely to be offered in 2 engine options – 1.0-litre K-Series petrol and a 1.2-litre K-Series petrol. Wagon R 7-seater MPV

Finally, Maruti will bring the 7-seater version of the Wagon R tall-boy hatchback. Likely to be called Solio, the new model will be sold through NEXA premium dealerships. It will have slightly longer body, though the wheelbase is likely to remain the same as the Wagon R. The new model will challenge the likes of Datsun GO+ and the upcoming Renault Triber. It will be powered by a 1.2-litre K-Series petrol engine that produces 83bhp and 115Nm of torque. Transmission options will include a 5-speed manual and an AMT unit. Continue reading….

Vitara Brezza Petrol

India’s best-selling SUV, the Maruti Vitara Brezza will soon be offered in petrol avatar. It is expected to be powered by a 1.2-litre DualJet petrol engine with a mild-hybrid SHVS technology. This powertrain is likely to produce around 90bhp of power and 120Nm of torque. Both manual and automatic versions are likely to be on offer.
