4 New Car Launches, 1 Big SUV Unveil Within 15 Days

The next two weeks going to be super exciting for the auto enthusiasts as four new car launches and one major SUV unveiling have been planned. The lineup will include the new-generation Hyundai Tucson, updated Audi A8 L, Citroen C3 premium hatchback, Mahindra Scorpio N Automatic and Maruti Suzuki’s all-new mid-size SUV. Audi A8 L Facelift – 12th July

The luxury sedan will come with slightly improved styling and a bunch of new features, while its engine setup will remain unchanged. Upfront, it will feature a newly designed grille with mesh pattern, Audi’s new Digital Matric LED headlamps, angled air intakes and fog lamp assembly with revised chrome strip surrounding. It will also get digital OLED brake lights with proximity sensors and new colour options. Inside, the new 2022 Audi A8 L facelift will have two additional 10.1-inch infotainment displays for the rear seat passengers and an updated MIB 3 software. More details here…

Major changes will be made to the new-generation Hyundai Tucson. If reports are to be believed, the carmaker might introduce the long-wheelbase version (LWB) of the SUV with three-row seating configuration. The new Tucson will carry the brand’s new Sensuous Sportiness design language. On the feature front, the new model will offer a dual-screen infotainment system, a digital instrument console, Hyundai’s BlueLink connected car tech, a panoramic sunroof, cruise control and ADAS (advanced driver assistance system). Under the hood, the new 2022 Hyundai Tucson will feature 150bhp, 2.0L petrol and 182bhp, 2.0L turbo diesel engines. More details here…

Citroen C3 hatchback model lineup will come in two trims – Live and Feel. There will two engine options – 1.2L naturally aspirated petrol and 1.2L turbo petrol delivering 82PS with 115Nm and 110PS with 190Nm respectively. The hatchback will be made available in 4 monotone colours – Polar White, Platinum grey, Zesty Orange and Steel Grey. Buyers will also have 6 dual-tone colour options along with two interior trims. In terms of features, the new Citroen car will offer a 4-speaker audio system, a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless smartphone connectivity, two rear fast chargers, etc. More details here…

Maruti Mid-Size SUV – 20th July

The Indo-Japanese automaker is ready to foray into the mid-size SUV segment on 20th July. The upcoming model is likely to be called Maruti Vitara. Interestingly, it will be the first Maruti Suzuki car to come with the stronger hybrid powertrain. Similar to the Toyota Hyryder, the new Maruti SUV will have 1.5L TNGA petrol unit with strong hybrid tech making 92bhp and 79bhp. It will come with an eCVT automatic gearbox. The SUV will also be available with the 1.5L K15C dualjet petrol engine with mild hybrid system. Some of its features such as steering wheel, a 360 degree camera, Head-Up Display and touchscreen infotainment system will be carried over from the Baleno hatchback. More details here…

Mahindra Scorpio N Automatic – 21st July

Mahindra & Mahindra will reveal prices of the new Scorpio N automatic and 4X4 variants on 21st July 2022. The SUV’s 4X version has been named – Mahindra Scorpio N 4Xplorer and it’s likely to cost around Rs 22 lakh (ex-showroom). The model lineup comes with 2.0L mStallion turbo petrol and 2.2L mHawk diesel engine options. Both units are made available with manual and automatic gearbox. It’s 4X4 version offers 4 off-road modes – Grass, Mud, Sand and Snow. It gets shift-on-fly 4WD system with low and high range gearbox, front brake locking differential and mechanical rear locking system. Major cosmetic and feature upgrades have been made to the new 2022 Mahindra Scorpio N. The SUV can be had with either 6-seats layout or 7-seats configuration. More details here…
