Prices of the new 2022 Audi A8 L facelift will be announced on 12th July 2022. Ahead of its market launch, the model has started arriving at dealerships across India. Official bookings have been commenced at a token sum of Rs 10 lakh. Here, it will be positioned against the BMW 7 Series and Mercedes-Benz S-Class. The new model is likely to cost around Rs 1.5 crore (ex-showroom).
2022 Audi A8 L Exterior
Most of the cosmetic changes have been made at the front end. The new A8 L features a more aggressively designed grille with mesh pattern, fog lamp assembly with revised chrome strip surrounding and angled air intakes.
Audi’s new Digital Matrix LED headlamps are said to have around 1.3 million micro-mirrors to split the light into individual pixels. Globally, the model comes with a new S Line package that includes S8-inspired blades in the side intakes. Similar to the current model, the new one comes with the optional chrome and black exterior packages. Buyers will have new metallic and matte exterior colour options. The digital OLED brake lights with proximity sensors come as standard.
2022 Audi A8 L Interior
A few noticeable updates are likely to be made inside the cabin. The new A8 L facelift will be offered with two additional 10.1-inch infotainment displays for the rear seat passengers. There will an updated MIB 3 software. It’s global-spec version comes with 40 driver assistance systems available over different packages. The 2022 A8 L facelift will get a fold-out centre console table, a cooler with a bar compartment and a perfume function as optional offerings.
2022 Audi A8 L Engine
In India, the new Audi A8 L is likely to come with the same 3.0L TFSI petrol engine making 340bhp. The gasoline unit will also be available with mild hybrid option making 461bhp. It will be paired to an 8-speed Tiptronic automatic gearbox and Audi’s Quattro AWD (all-wheel drive) system.
