After Venue Facelift, Hyundai Will Launch The New Tucson On 13th July

Hyundai has recently launched the new Venue facelift in the country. The company plans to launch multiple new models including the new Tucson, Creta facelift, updated Kona EV and the Ioniq 5 Electric crossover. Hyundai India has officially announced to launch the new Tucson SUV on July 13, 2022.

New Tucson Styling – LWB Model

Hyundai will introduce the long wheelbase version of the new Tucson SUV in the country. The LWB Tucson rides on 2,756mm long wheelbase, which is claimed to offer more space in the second row and bigger boot compared to the European model. It is also reported that the SUV could be offered as a 3-row model; however, Hyundai is yet to make an official statement on the same. The global-spec model features the 19-inch alloy wheel, the India-spec model rides on 18-inch wheels. The slightly smaller wheels and taller tyre sidewalls should improve its ride quality on the Indian roads.

The new-gen Hyundai Tucson features the brand’s new ‘Sensuous Sportiness’ design language, which has recently been translated on the new Venue and the Creta facelift. The SUV gets the uniquely styled Parametric front grille with fully integrated DRLs, which are unnoticeable among the dark chrome feature when the car is off. While driving, the edges of the geometrically designed grille light up in 5 different, jewel-like triangles of light on each side.

The LED headlamp unit and turn signals are integrated on the lower front bumper, which has a pair of small air ducts. Strong creases and lines are clearly visible all around the body. At the back, the new Tucson has a set of quad tail-lights connected by a full-width LED bar, new bumper with diamond texture and a faux skid plate.

The new Tucson comes with all-new and feature-loaded interior. The SUV gets a clutter-free cabin with minimal buttons on the dashboard. The vehicle gets a dual-screen infotainment system that has a 10.3-inch display for climate control & other functions. The infotainment system is compatible with Android Auto, Apple CarPlay and two-device Bluetooth connectivity. In terms of features, the SUV gets Hyundai’s BlueLink connected car tech, a digital instrument console, a panoramic sunroof, automatic AC, cruise control & ADAS features.

Both Petrol & Diesel Engines

The 2022 Hyundai Tucson for India will come with petrol as well as diesel engine options. It is most likely to share the engine options with the existing model. The petrol version gets a 2.0-litre petrol engine that produces 150bhp and 192Nm, and is paired to a 6-speed automatic torque convertor automatic. The new Tucson will also get a 2.0-litre turbo diesel engine that churns out 182bhp and 400Nm of torque. It is paired to an 8-speed automatic gearbox.
