Nissan Magnite Red Edition Launch on July 18– Booking, Feature Details

Nissan Motor India is all set to expand the Magnite subcompact SUV range with a new Red edition that will be launched on 18th July 2022. Pre-bookings for the new model have already been commenced across the nation. The new Nissan Magnite Red Edition will be made available in three variants – XV MT, Turbo XV MT and Turbo XV CVT. The carmaker says that the SUV’s new Red Edition with its “bold design, power-packed performance, comfort, advanced technologies and connectivity features” will provide “memorable journeys”.

On the exterior, the new Nissan Magnite Red Edition has sporty red accent on the front grille, front bumper cladding, wheel arch and body side cladding. The model has a pronounced Red Edition badge along with the bold body graphics, an LED scuff plate and a tail door garnish. In terms of features, the Red Edition has ambient mood lighting and a wireless charger. Features such as a 7.0-inch full TFT instrument cluster, Wifi connectivity, push button start/stop, traction control system, brake assist, hill start assist and vehicle dynamics control are also on offer.

Recently, the carmaker discontinued the two CVT variants of the Nissan Magnite – XL and XV. At present, the model lineup is available within the price range of Rs 5.88 lakh – Rs 10.56 lakh (all, ex-showroom). Engine setup of the SUV includes a 1.0L, 3-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol and 1.0L, 3-cylinder turbo petrol delivering 72bhp and 100bhp respectively. There is no diesel engine option. Transmission options include a 5-speed manual and a CVT.

If reports are to be believed, the Japanese automaker is considering 7-seater version of the Nissan Magnite SUV for the Indian market. The model might have a sliding system to adjust legroom in the middle and third rows. There will be a foldable b bench seat fitted in the cargo space.
