3 New Honda Cars Are Ready For Launch
Honda Cars India recently resumed its operations by opening 155 dealerships across the nation including 118 showrooms and 155 service outlets. The carmaker has three new models in the pipeline, which are ready to hit roads in coming months. The list includes fifth-generation Honda City sedan, updated WR-V compact SUV and BS6 Jazz hatchback.
The 2020 Honda City has received significant updates inside and out. Reports suggest that one of the biggest changes will come in the form of a new 1.5L naturally-aspirated petrol engine based on a new architecture and boosted with better technology. The new twin-cam petrol motor will be more powerful and efficient than the old motor. The sedan will also come with the BS6 version of the existing 1.5L i-DTEC diesel engine that’s good for 100bhp.
The Japanese carmaker will also give a mid-life update to the WR-V compact SUV. Interested buyers can pre-booking the vehicle by paying an initial amount of Rs 21,000. Subtle changes are likely to be made to its exterior and interior. Under the hood, the compact SUV will employ the BS6-compliant 1.2L petrol and 1.5L diesel motors with a standard 5-speed manual gearbox.
The Honda Jazz hatchback will also receive BS6 upgrade in coming weeks. The carmaker has teased the updated model and listed it on the official website. The hatchback lineup will come with the BS6-compliant version of the 1.2L i-VTEC petrol and 1.5L i-DTEC diesel engines. The power and torque outputs of the calibrated motors are yet to be revealed by the carmaker.
