BS6 Honda Jazz Teased; Gets Revised Front

Honda Cars India is ready to roll out three new models in the coming months. The lineup includes the fifth-generation Honda City, WR-V facelift and BS6-compliant Jazz hatchback. All three models are likely to hit showrooms post lockdown. Recently, the carmaker dropped the second teaser picture of the BS6 Honda Jazz revealing its front fascia. The hatchback will get a new front grille that’s likely to be inspired by the global-spec Honda Fit.

Details of the updated Jazz are yet to be revealed. Though, it’s likely to witness subtle cosmetic changes such as revised LED headlamps and updated front bumper. Most of the design bits such as are likely to be carried over from the current model. Inside, the hatchback might get an updated 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with navigation and smartphone connectivity along with the new seat fabric.

Major change will be made under the engine bay. The BS6 Honda Jazz will come with the updated version of the existing 1.2L petrol and 1.5L diesel engines meeting BS6 emission standards. In their BS4 form, the gasoline unit delivers 90bhp with 110Nm of torque and the oil burner pushes out 100bhp with 200Nm of torque.

The power and torque figures are likely to remain unchanged. Transmission choices will include the same 5-speed manual and a CVT automatic unit. The latter will continue to be reserved for the 1.2L petrol variants. Check Out – 2020 Honda City Hatchback Might Look Like This

The BS6 Honda Jazz hatchback lineup will come in three trims – S, V and VX. At present, the vehicle is available in the price range of Rs 7.45 lakh – Rs 9.4 lakh (ex-showroom).
