2020 TVS Star City Plus BS6 Launched; Priced at Rs 62,034
2020 TVS Star City Plus BS6 has finally gone on sale in the country. The bike’s updated model comes in two variants – monotone and dual-tone – priced at Rs 62,034 and Rs 62,534 respectively. All prices are ex-showroom, Delhi. This makes them around Rs 8,532 (monotone) and Rs 62,534 (dual-tone) more expensive than the BS4 version.
Powering the 2020 TVS Star City Plus is the BS6-compliant 109cc engine with fuel injection (FI) system. It produces a peak power of 8.08bhp at 7350rpm and 8.7Nm of torque at 4,500rpm. The bikemaker claims that the FI technology enhances the bike’s fuel economy by 15 per cent. It also aids to its refinement levels and rideablity. The new BS6-compliant motor is said to have better durability and maintenance. It carries a kerb weight of 116kgs.
Besides the updated engine, the 2020 TVS Star City Plus BS6 receives a new LED headlamp, newly-designed rear view mirrors and a revised fairing. No changes have been made to its suspension setup. The 2020 TVS Star City Plus BS6 is equipped with telescopic shock absorbers upfront and 5-step adjustable shock absorbers at the rear.
