2020 Renault Kwid Climber Spied-compressed

French automaker, Renault is readying the Kwid facelift that has been spotted multiple times testing on the Indian roads. The Kwid has been one of the most successful entry-level cars currently on sale in the market. Renault had regularly introduced special editions and anniversary editions of the hatchback in the country. Japanese automaker, Renault is also preparing the facelift version of the Kwid Climber in the country.

The updated Renault Kwid Climber has also been spotted for the first time. First showcased at the 2016 Auto Expo, the Kwid Climber was launched in early 2017. It is basically the standard Kwid with subtle changes to keep things fresh in the market. Going by the spy images, it is visible that the 2020 Renault Kwid Climber will receive significant styling changes. The changes will be inspired by the K-ZE (Kwid electric on sale in China). In terms of styling changes, the 2020 Renault Kwid Climber gets new headlamp set-up with sharp LED Daytime running lights on top and main headlamp lower on the bumper. It gets new front bumper with horizontal air intake and K-ZE electric inspired grille. At the back, the 2020 Kwid Climber gets re-designed tail-lamps and C-shaped LED inserts.

Inside the cabin, the 2020 Renault Kwid Climber is fitted with a bigger 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay support. The touchscreen will also serve as a display for the reverse camera. The 2020 Renault Kwid Climber is powered by a BS6 compliant 1.0-litre 3-cylinder petrol engine. This powertrain is capable of producing 67bhp of power and 91Nm of torque. Transmission options are likely to include a 5-speed manual and a 5-speed AMT (Automated Manual Transmission). While the outgoing car is priced at Rs 4.55 lakh, the updated model is likely to receive a price hike.
