The new Maruti Suzuki Ignis facelift, that made its public debut at the recently-concluded Auto Expo 2020, has silently been launched in the country. Prices of the updated model start from Rs 4.83 lakh for the entry-level Sigma variant and go up to Rs 7.13 lakh for the top-end Alpha AMT model. All prices are ex-showroom. The 2020 Maruti Ignis facelift has received minor cosmetic changes, new dual-tone colour schemes along with a few feature updates.

Talking about the design, the facelifted Ignis wears a new toothy new grille similar to the Jimny SUV. The front and rear bumpers have also been revised. Both get faux scuff plates. The carmaker has added two new monotone and three dual-tone paint schemes to the 2020 Maruti Ignis facelift lineup. Now, buyers can choose from Lucent Orange, Turquoise Blue, Lucent Orange with Black, Nexa Blue with Black and Nexa Blue with Silver shades.

2020 Maruti Ignis Interior

Interior layout remains unchanged. Though, you get Maruti’s latest SmartPlay Studio infotainment system instead of a 7.0-inch touchscreen unit. The new one takes voice commands and has on-board navigation. For the first time, the Ignis gets Suzuki’s S-Connect connectivity suite as an option. The 2020 Maruti Ignis also makes a switch to the BS6-compliant 1.2L K12 petrol engine with a 5-speed manual and an AMT (automated manual transmission) options. No changes have been made to its power and torque figures. Similar to the BS4 version, the new Ignis promises a top power of 83bhp and 113Nm of torque.
