BS6 Maruti WagonR CNG Launched at Rs 5.25 Lakh

Maruti Suzuki India today rolled out the BS6-compliant S-CNG variant of its highly popular WagonR hatchback. It’s the third BS6-ready CNG offering from the Indo-Japanese carmaker in the country. The BS6 Maruti WagonR CNG has been offered in two variants, LXi and LXi (O) – priced at Rs 5.25 lakh and Rs 5.32 lakh (all, ex-showroom Delhi) respectively. The carmaker says that the BS6 Maruti WagonR CNG variant delivers a fuel economy of 32.52km/kg. It comes with a tank capacity of 60-litres (water equivalent). The updated model gets dual interdependent ECUs (electronic control units) and intelligent injection system. This factory-fitted system is claimed to be “calibrated to deliver optimum performance and enhanced drivability across all kinds of terrains”.

Similar to the ICE LXi variant, the new BS6 Maruti WagonR CNG comes equipped with the 13-inch steel wheels with 155/80 R13 tyres, front power windows, manual AC unit, 12V charging socket, door-open warning, integrated headrests for the front and rear seats, central locking system, door open warning, seat belt reminder, speed alert system, rear parking sensors, driver’s side airbag (passenger side optional) and ABS with EBD.
