2019 Volkswagen Polo and Vento Launching Tomorrow

German premium carmaker, Volkswagen will launch the facelift versions of the Polo and the Vento in the Indian car market tomorrow. Both the cars have already been spotted testing. The new models will receive few design changes, upgraded interiors and added safety features. Mechanically, the cars will remain unchanged.

The Volkswagen Polo will challenge the likes of the Maruti Swift, Ford Figo and the Hyundai Grand i10 Nios, while the Vento facelift will be positioned against the Honda City, Hyundai Verna and the Maruti Ciaz. In terms of styling upgrades, the Polo facelift will receive a mildly-updated front fascia. The front receives changes in sync with the GTi model.

Upfront is a revised honeycomb grille and updated bumper, which looks similar to that of the GTi. It also has updated underbody spoilers and revised tail-lamps. The refresh model will also receive a new set of alloy wheels. At the back, the hatchback gets new spoiler, revised bumper and mildly updated tail-lamps. The 2019 Volkswagen Vento will receive sportier side skirts, new headlamps and tail-lamps and mildly-updated grille. Inside the cabin, the sedan is expected to receive new upholstery and added features. The sedan could also feature new alloy wheels with a gunmetal grey finish. Dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors, seat belt reminders and speed alert system will come as standard. The Polo facelift will be offered with 3 engine options – a 76bhp, 1.0L petrol, a 90bhp, 1.5L diesel and a 105bhp, 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol. The 2019 Volkswagen Vento facelift will be offered with 3 engine options – 105bhp, 1.6-litre petrol, a 105bhp, 1.2-litre turbo petrol and 110bhp, 1.5-litre diesel.
