New Hyundai Tucson 2019 Features

Globally, the new Hyundai Tucson facelift will be launched in the second half of 2018.

New Hyundai Tucson 2019 facelift has finally broken cover at the New York Auto Show. In Hyundai’s product lineup, the Tucson sits below the Santa Fe and takes on the Mazda CX-5 and Honda CR-V. Designed especially for the US market, the Tucson facelift shares some of its styling bits with the new-generation Hyundai Santa Fe.

For the 2019 model year, the Tucson has witnessed several aesthetic and feature upgrades. It’s the front end of the SUV that received significant changes including new projector headlamps with new L-shaped LED daytime running lights (DRLs), a larger grille with four chrome slat and re-designed bumper and fog lamps. Other updates include re-designed alloy wheels, new LED taillamps and revised rear bumper and tailgate. Check Out – Upcoming Hyundai Cars in India

Interior of the new Hyundai Tucson 2019 looks more refined and comes packed with more advanced technology. One of the prominent updates include a new floating 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system integrated on the centre console as we have seen on the all-new Kona compact SUV. This system supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.  The air vents have been shifted below the touchscreen display. It also gets a new instrument cluster and newly-designed leather seat.

Aiming to improve safety quotient of the SUV, Hyundai introduces an electronic parking brake, lane keeping assist (standard), collision avoidance assist, adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go support and a surround view monitor. Other highlights include wireless device charging and USB chargers in the second row, rain sensing wipers, high beam assist, etc. Read – Hyundai Creta Will Get The First-in-class Sunroof

In the US market, the company recently introduced the 2019 Tucson Sport in two variants – 2WD and 4WD – priced at $25,150 (around Rs 16.37 lakh) and $26,550 (Rs 17.28 lakh) respectively. This new version derives its power from a 2.4-litre, four-cylinder engine that’s good for 179bhp and 237Nm of torque. This motor is coupled to a 6-speed automatic transmission with SHIFTRONIC manual shift mode. Read – Hyundai 8-Seater SUV Under Development
