Audi might unveil the new-gen A6 sedan at the Geneva Motor Show that will be held in March, 2018.

The German luxury car manufacturer, Audi has dropped a new teaser video of the fifth-generation A6 sedan. The teaser video not only confirms the arrival of the 2018 Audi A6, but also asks talented films makes to create the short films for the sedan highlighting its three features – Digitalization, Sportability and Comfort. The saloon’s new model will have its world premiere sometime next year. Audi might unveil the car at the Geneva Motor Show that will take place in March, 2018.

The 2018 Audi A6 shares its underpinnings with the new-gen A8 sedan and the Q7 SUV – i.e. the company’s new MLB Evo architecture. Built with lightweight components, this platform has been designed for front-and all-wheel-drive cars with longitudinally mounted engines. In addition, it makes the vehicles more flexible, robust and lighter.

Design and styling bits will be derived from the new-generation A8 sedan. In fact, the 2018 Audi A6 will share a resemblance with Audi’s Prologue concept that broke cover at the Los Angeles Auto Show in 2014. Features such as prominent and wide front grille, geometrically-shaped headlamps and strong creases could be carried over from the concept. A range of four and six cylinder turbocharged diesel and petrol powertrains will be offered with the 2018 Audi A6. Engine setup of the global-spec 2018 Audi A6 might include a 2.0L turbocharged inline-4, 3.0L turbocharged V6, a mild hybrid system and plug-in hybrid unit. The carmaker might also introduce performance variants of the sedan.
