2018 Hero Passion, Passion Pro, Super Splendor

The three motorcycles were showcased to media at an even in Delhi-NCR, though the prices will be announced in January 2018.

Hero MotoCorp, the world’s largest two-wheeler maker in terms of volume, today unveiled its three motorcycles – 2018 Super Splednor (125cc), 2018 Passion Pro (110cc) and 2018 Passion X Pro at a media event in Delhi NCR. Prices of the vehicles, however, will be unveiled next month and the deliveries too will begin in the same month. Just so you know these are not all-new motorcycles, but the updated versions of the existing ones with some cosmetic & mechanical changes (new engines), more features and new colour options. All three motorcycles continue to feature their old powertrains, but are now more powerful than before.

New Hero Passion Pro

The new 2018 Passion Pro gets new graphics on the side panels, revised fuel tank with flush type cap and revised tail-lamp. Besides that it also gets digital-analog meter with digital fuel gauge, trip meter, and AHO (all-time headlamp) and side-stand indicator.

The Hero Passion Pro 2018 is available in five metallic shades – Sports red, black monotone, force silver, heavy grey and frost blue.

The engine that does duty to the 2018 Passion Pro is the same 110cc with i3S (idle stop-start system) that was introduced with the Splendor iSmart last year, and is claimed to return 12% more power and torque than the Passion Pro’s old model. With a peak power 9bhp and a peak torque of 9Nm, this one does 0-60kmph in 7.45 seconds. It will be made available in both drum and disc brake versions.

New Hero Passion XPRO

Being a slightly more up-market product, the changes on the XPro are much more than the Passion Pro. The list of changes includes dynamic shrouds, revised rear cowl, dual-tone mirrors, LED tail-lamp besides new fuel tank with flush fuel lid, all-time headlamp on (AHO) and digital-anolog meter.

And since both the motorcycles are essentially the same but with a little different styling, both get the same 9bhp 110cc engine.

2018 Hero Passion XPRO

This bike will be made available in five dual-tone colour options – sports red with black, black with sports red, black with techno blue, black with heavy grey and force silver with black.

New Hero Super Splendor

The new Super Splendor is the third motorcycle that was showcased at the event, and this one is a 125cc offering from the two-wheeler giant. Claimed to offer the best-in-class performance and stability, the 2018 Super Splendor derives its power from a 125cc,air-cooled engine with the company’s patented i3S technology.

This engine produces a maximum power of 11bhp and a max torque of 11Nm. As per the company’s claim this engine now offers 27 percent more power and 6% more torque than the previous model. The claimed top-speed of the motorcycle is 94kmph.

2018 Hero Splendor Pro

Some key features on offer are – all-time headlamp on (AHO), side stand indicator, wider rear tyre, revised seat profile and side reflector. The bike is also claimed to have the largest under seat storage with additional storage in front under the tank.
