2 New Renault Cars launching in 2 Years – RBC 7-seater MPV and New Duster
The Renault RBC 7-seater MPV will be launched in July 2019
Renault has officially announced to launch 2 all-new models in the Indian market before the end of 2020. The first model will be launched by July 2019, which is most likely to be the 7-seater MPV codenamed RBC. The second model is expected to the new-generation Duster SUV, which will be launched in 2020.
Before introducing the next-generation Duster SUV, Renault will launch the second major facelift of the existing Duster SUV. The second generation Duster is already on sale in the international markets. First unveiled in 2017, the new model comes with an all-new design. Though, the original robust look as been retained. It comes with more modern design elements with features LED DRLs, new grille, new alloys and new lighting system.
The cabin has been upgraded with all the modern day features and the plastic quality has also been improved. In terms of features, the new-generation Renault Duster gets keyless entry with push-button start, automatic AC, leather wrapped steering and gear-knob and the new 7-inch MEDIA NAV touchscreen infotainment with smartphone connectivity options. For passengers’ safety and security, the new Renault Duster gets blind spot monitor, around view monitor, cruise control, multiple airbags, ABS with EBD and brake assist, etc.
The new Renault Duster will be available with 2 engine options – 1.5-litre SCe petrol and 1.5-litre dCi diesel. While the former is good for 115PS and 156Nm, the oil burner produces 115PS and 260Nm of torque. Transmission options include a 5-speed manual (Petrol) and a 6-speed manual (diesel). The India-spec model will also receive the AMT gearbox option.
Coming back to the second model, Renault will launch the Kwid platform based 7-seater MPV. This model has already been spotted testing multiple times. Media reports claim that the new MPV will be cheaper than the Maruti Ertiga. Scheduled to be launched in July 2019, the Renault RBC will be made in available in petrol and diesel guise.
