12 Renault Cars At Auto Expo 2020 – HBC Compact SUV, Zoe EV

Renault India has announced its product lineup for the Auto Expo 2020 that will be held from 5th to 12th January in Greater Noida. The French carmaker will unveil a total of 12 vehicles along with two new powertrains. The lineup is likely to include the all-new upcoming models, BS6-compliant version of the existing vehicles and a few global concepts.

The carmaker has also confirmed that there will be a dedicated ‘Electric Corner’ along with global concepts previewing the brand’s future mobility solutions. The new Renault subcompact SUV (codenamed – Renault HBC) might also make its debut at the biennial event. Here, it will be positioned against the cars like Hyundai Venue, Maruti Vitara Brezza and Mahindra XUV300.

Renault Zoe EV (1)

Official details of the Renault HBC compact SUV are likely to be revealed at its unveiling event. It’s reported to come with the turbocharged 1.0L, 3-cylinder petrol engine with a 5-speed manual and an AMT gearbox. The same powertrain will be used in the Renault Triber MPV.

We have reported earlier that the French carmaker might also showcase the Renault Zoe EV at the Auto Expo 2020 and its launch will happen by 2020 or 2021. It’s likely to be powered by a 90bhp electric motor and a 41kWh battery pack. The electric compact car will deliver a range around 300km-350km.

Renault Triber AMT

The recently-launched Renault Kwid BS6 and Renault Triber BS6 will also be put up on display alongside the new models. While the hatchback gets expensive by Rs 9,000, the subcompact MPV witnessed a price hike from Rs 4,000 to Rs 9,000.

Prices of the BS6 Kwid start from Rs 2.92 lakh and go up to Rs 5.01 lakh. The BS6 Triber comes in four trims – RXE, RXL, RXT and RXZ – priced at Rs 4.99 lakh, Rs 5.74 lakh, Rs 6.24 lakh and Rs 6.78 lakh respectively. All prices are ex-showroom, Delhi. The carmaker will also launch the BS6-compliant Renault Duster and Capture before 1st April, 2020.
