MG Maxus D90 SUV India Unveil on February 5 – Teased
After launching the Hector and ZS pure electric SUV, MG Motors is now ready to introduce its 3rd all-new SUV in India. The company is planning to showcase 14 cars at the 2020 Auto Expo including an all-new 8-seater MPV. MG Motors has teased the Maxus D90 based SUV with a tagline “Internet. Electric. What’s Next?”.
- The MG Maxus D90 SUV will challenge the Toyota Fortuner, Ford Endeavour and Skoda Kodiaq
- It will be powered by a 218bhp, 2.0-litre turbo-diesel engine, which is derived from FCA MultiJet II.
- The Maxus D90 based SUV will be launched in mid-2020, around July-August.
- In terms of proportions, the Maxus D90 is bigger than its direct rivals.
The upcoming Maxus D90 based SUV will make India debut on February 5, 2020. This 7-seater premium SUV will directly rival the likes of the Toyota Fortuner, Ford Endeavour and Skoda Kodiaq. Dimensionally, the new MG 7-seater SUV is bigger than its closest rivals including the Toyota Fortuner and Ford Endeavour. It measures 5005mm in length, 1932mm in width, 1875mm in height and has a wheelbase of 2,950mm.
In the global markets, the MG Maxus D90 is powered by a 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine that produces 224bhp of power and 360Nm of peak torque. However, the India-spec model will also feature a diesel engine option. Read – New MG Compact SUV To Challenge Venue, Vitara Brezza
The SUV could received the new 2.0-litrr diesel engine, which is derived from the FCA Multijet II motor. This engine was unveiled at the 2019 Guangzhou Auto Show. It is capable of producing 218bhp of power and 480Nm of torque. Transmission options include a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed torque converter automatic.
