2020 Royal Enfield Bikes At 2019 EICMA
EICMA, the annual two-wheeler show that will be held in Milan (Italy), is surely one of the biggest rendezvous of motorcycle manufacturers and enthusiasts. Royal Enfield will be among the star bikemakers in the latest edition of the motor show with a range of its 2020 model lineup.
The 2020 model year of the highly popular Royal Enfield Classic, Thunderbird and Bullet range will be previewed at the motor show. The updated version of the bikes will underpin the company’s new architecture. We have reported earlier that the Chennai-based bikemaker will bring in new bikes based on four new platforms – P, J, Q and K.
The 2020 Royal Enfield Classic, Thunderbird and Bullet (along with the Himalayan) will be based on the J platform. The updated models will witness minor design changes including new body panels and revised tail section. Other highlights will include a new instrument console, rotary-style switches and a few more.
Based on the P architecture, the 2020 Royal Enfield Interceptor INT 650 and Continental GT 650 could also be showcased at the 2019 EICMA. The bigger and more powerful variant of the Royal Enfield Himalayan might also debut at the motor show. However, its production-ready version won’t come anytime soon.
Royal Enfield might also preview the new, higher displacement motorcycles based on the Q and K architecture. The bigger RE bikes will face challenge from Triumph and Harley-Davidson motorcycles. New details about the Royal Enfield Concept KX that broke cover at the 2018 EICMA, could be revealed at the event. A few concept Royal Enfield motorcycle might also grace the motor show.
