The new Royal Enfield Concept KX is designed and developed as a tribute to the legendary RE KX, which was launched in 1938.

Royal Enfield has showcased a new twin-cylinder concept at the 2018 EICMA Motorcycle Show. The new motorcycle is equipped with an all-new V-Twin engine. While the company hasn’t revealed anything on the new engine, the ‘838’ badging on the engine suggest that it is an 838cc, liquid-cooled engine.

The new Royal Enfield Concept KX is designed and developed as a tribute to the legendary RE KX, which was launched in 1938. The engine’s design is also similar to the 1,140cc V-Twin offered with the original KX. The iconic motorcycle was claimed to have a top speed of 129kmph. The Concept KX shares the old retro-styling, featuring the dark bottle-green shade. Some of the features include LED headlight & tail-light, digital instrument cons0le, disc brakes and alloy wheels. The work on this concept was first started in March 2017, and it was more of a fun exercise. It is expected that thee RE Concept KX will eventually enter into production and will be brand’s flagship offering. The new motorcycle will be fitted to a six-speed gearbox along with slip and assist function. ABS (Anti-Lock Braking System) will come as standard. The new motorcycle will challenge the Harley Davidson Street 750. In India, Royal Enfield will soon introduce the long-awaited Interceptor INT 650 and Continental GT 650.
