2019 Maruti Suzuki WagonR Gets Over 16,000 Bookings So Far
The waiting period of the new Maruti WagonR 2019 has been increased to a few weeks.
The third-generation Maruti Suzuki WagonR marked its debut in the Indian market last week. At the launch event, the carmaker confirmed that the hatchback received over 12,000 bookings in less than seven days. Now, the small car has crossed 16,000 booking mark in the country. As the bookings keep pouring in, the waiting period of the new Maruti WagonR 2019 has been increased to a few weeks.
The new Maruti WagonR 2019 comes in three trims – LXI, VXI and ZXI – and two petrol (1.0L and 1.2L) engine options. While the 1.0L variants are priced from Rs 4.19 lakh to Rs 5.16 lakh, the 1.2L models come in the price range of Rs 4.89 lakh – Rs 5.69 lakh. All prices are ex-showroom, Delhi. The 1.0L K-Series powertrain, which is carried over from the old model, delivers power worth 67bhp against 91Nm of torque. The 1.2L gasoline unit, borrowed from the Swift hatchback, makes a top power of 82bhp and 113Nm of torque. Compared to the previous generation, the new Maruti WagonR 2019 is 60mm longer, 145mm wider and 25mm taller. The small car now measures 3,655mm in length, 1,620mm in width and 1,675mm in height and has a wheelbase of 2,435mm. The hatchback also receives driver’s airbag, ABS with EBD, front seat belts reminder, speed alert system and rear parking sensors as standard safety fitments. The new WagonR also witnessed comprehensive design and feature upgrades.
