Just so you know, the modified version of SsangYong’s X100 platform has been used in the upcoming Mahindra XUV300. Design and styling of the new SsangYong Korando 2019 will be heavily inspired by the e-SIV concept that broke cover at the 2018 Geneva Motor Show last year. Elements such sweptback headlamps, snub-nosed front bumper and sporty C-pillar will be carried over from the concept.

The new SsangYong Korando 2019 will have enough cabin space for five adult occupants and luggage area. Similar to the concept, the production version of the SUV will feature premium quality wood and aluminium inserts, leather on the dashboard and Alcantara seat upholstery.

As far as engine is concerned, the new SsangYong Korando 2019 might share its powertrains with Tivoli SUV. Rumour also has that it might get a new 1.5L turbocharged petrol engine. The new Korando could also be SsangYong’s first global SUV to receive an electric powertrain. Though, the electric version of the mid-size SUV is expected to arrive sometime next year.
