Honda Cars India aims to sell around 50,000 units of the new Amaze in the current fiscal year.

The new-generation Honda Amaze has been doing phenomenal for the Japanese carmaker in India. Within the very first month of its launch, the sub-4 meter sedan broke into top 10 selling passenger cars. In July, the carmaker sold over 10,000 units of the Amaze which is the highest-ever sales recorded by a Honda car. HCI now aims to sell around 50,000 units of the sedan in the current fiscal year.

Available in four trims – E, S, V and VX – the new Honda Amaze 2018 comes with both petrol and diesel engines paired to a manual and a CVT transmission. Currently, the CVT (continuously variable transmission) is offered with the mid-level S and V trims of the sedan. Being the top-spec trim, the new Honda Amaze VX comes loaded with all the comfort and safety features offered on the carline. The list of features include a 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, steering mounted controls, reverse parking camera, rear parking sensors, cruise control, automatic climate control, LED daytime running lights, electric ORVMs, 15-inch alloy  wheels, etc. Under the hood, the new Honda Amaze 2018 houses a 1.2L i-VTEC petrol and a 1.5L i-DTEC diesel engine producing 89bhp with 110Nm and 99bhp with 200Nm respectively. Read: New Honda Amaze – Positives & Negatives

Prices of the new Honda Amaze 2018 petrol models start from Rs 5.80 lakh and go all the way up to Rs 8.10 lakh. The diesel variants, on the other hand, are priced between Rs 6.90 lakh – Rs 9.10 lakh. Initially, the sedan was made available at an introductory price of Rs 5.59 lakh (for the entry-level E petrol variant) – Rs 8.99 lakh (for the V CVT diesel variant).
