Unveiled at the 2018 Delhi Auto Expo, the new-generation Honda Amaze sedan is scheduled to be launched in the Indian market on May 16, 2018. The sedan looks way better and premium than the previous model; however, there are things that could have been improved. Feels lot more agile than before, thanks to the new chassis

A refined petrol engine
It is powered by the same 1.2-litre i-VTEC petrol engine that produces 89bhp of power and 115Nm of torque. The engine has been tuned for better acceleration and NVH levels. Transmission options include a 5-speed manual and CVT automatic unit.
Fuel efficiency
Thanks to new chassis, the new Amaze is more fuel efficient than the previous Amaze. The manual diesel is claimed to return 27.4kmpl, while the CVT version offers 23.8kmpl. Petrol manual and CVT versions return 19.5kmpl and 19kmpl respectively. Also See – Upcoming Honda Cars In India
Up-market cabin
The new-generation Amaze compact sedan comes with better equipped cabin and feels more premium than the previous model. The material quality and fit and finish have been drastically improved. It also gets several high-end features like touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay support, cruise control, multi-functional steering wheel, etc.
Best-in-class cabin & Boost space
It is claimed to offer segment-leading 420-litres of boot space, which is again 20-litres more than the previous model. The new model is 5mm longer, 15mm wider and 5mm shorter, which translates into spacious cabin. Better NVH levels
The new Amaze is powered by the same 1.5-litre i-DTEC diesel engine that also powers the previous model. However, the engine has been tuned for better NVH levels. The company has used more sound deadening materials and engine cover that helps to reduce road noise inside the cabin.
Negatives
Fixed headrest for the rear passengers even in the top-end variant
Even, the top-end variant of the new Amaze sub-4 meter sedan misses out on adjustable headrests for rear occupants. However, the front passenger seats come equipped with adjustable headrests.
Rear AC vents are still missing

14-inch tyres for lower variants
The lower-spec models come fitted to smaller 14-inch steel wheels, while the top-spec model gets 15-inch alloy wheels.
Resolution of touchscreen could have been better especially in sunlight
While the touchscreen response is good, the resolution could have been better especially in sunlight. During sunlight, it becomes hard to operate the touchscreen effectively and you might need to stop your car to have clear look.
