In our 10,000 kms service report, we found that the regular maintenance cost of the new Figo costs about Rs 1703. This makes it slightly cheaper than the Maruti Suzuki Swift diesel. This hatchback is available with two engine options – 1.2-litre petrol and 1.5-litre diesel.

In order to mark strong presence in the premium segment, Maruti Suzuki had launched the Baleno hatchback in the country. This model is sold through the company’s premium NEXA dealerships. It is based on Suzuki’s new generation platform that also underpins the Swift twins. This new model is claimed to be lighter, stiffer and stronger. Featuring new liquid flow design philosophy, the Baleno looks elegant and premium than the Swift hatchback.

The cabin of the car is premium and has good fit and finish. The all-black interior is sporty, which is complemented by solver inserts on the dashboard and door trims. There is plenty of space in the cabin for the five occupants. Adding to it, the hatchback has a large boot of 339-lires.
