2019 Renault Duster facelift is available in the price range of Rs 7.99 – Rs 12.49 lakh.
Renault Duster, the compact SUV from the French carmaker, has received a mid-life update in the country. The facelifted model comes with 25 new features and technology enhancements along with two new colour schemes. The new Renault Duster 2019 facelift has been priced from Rs 7.99 lakh to Rs 12.49 lakh (ex-showroom). Most of the design changes have been made at the front fascia including the higher bonnet line that makes it compliant to the upcoming pedestrian protection norms.
The 2019 Renault Duster also receives a new chromed grille, slightly updated headlamps with LED DRLs, roof rails and newly-designed R16 Everest diamond cut alloys. Interior has also been updated with a bunch of new comfort, connectivity and safety features. Under the hood, the new Duster features the same 110PS/85PS and 106SP, 1.5L petrol engines. Transmission choices include a 5-speed manual, a 6-speed manual, CVT and AMT unit.
While the second-generation Renault Duster is already on sale in select global markets, the French carmaker plans to introduce its third-generation in India sometime in 2023. The second-generation Renault Duster (under Dacia badge) was first previewed at the 2017 Frankfurt Motor Show, followed by its public debut at the Moscow International Motor Show (MIAS) in August 2018.

The French carmaker has made minor aesthetic upgrades to the new Renault Duster 2019 facelift. The SUV also comes with a pack of new features along with improved safety quotient. New Renault Duster 2019 Competition
In the Indian market, the new Renault Duster 2019 facelift continues to take on Hyundai Creta, and Nissan Kicks. The upcoming Kia Seltos and Jeep Renegade will also be stacked up against it. Carmakers such Skoda, Maruti Suzuki and Ford-Mahindra are also planning to enter in the premium compact SUV space with new models that will gun up straight against the new Duster.
New Renault Duster 2019 Exterior
The 2019 Renault Duster facelift underpins the old BO/Logan platform. Design and styling, however, is slightly different from the previous model. Face of the SUV has more aggressive and sportier appeal. The SUV features a newly-designed grille with signature Renault badge, projector headlamps with LED daytime running lights and a new front bumper. The bonnet line has also been increased to comply with the upcoming pedestrian protection norms. The new Renault Duster 2019 also gets a set newly-designed alloy wheels and new roof rails. The facelifted version retains the high ground clearance and wide fenders. Dimensions have also remain unchanged i.e. 4.34m length, 1.80m and 210mm of ground clearance. New Renault Duster 2019 Interior
Interior of the 2019 Renault Duster facelift is certainly more upmarket and plusher than the old model. The facelifted model has Midnight black interior theme along with an updated new touchscreen infotainment system. The new infotainment unit is compatible to smartphone connectivity such as Android Auto and Apple CarPlay along with voice recognition and EcoGuide. The SUV also comes with a new steering wheel with faux brushed aluminium finish. The dashboard has lots of faux aluminium chrome and piano black bits along with minor changes. Features such Arkamys with 4 speakers and new 2 front tweeters, new seat upholstery, soft touch materials, new automatic climate control with rear AC vents and new instrument console with ice blue graphic and multi information display are also offered on the new Renault Duster 2019 facelift.
New Renault Duster 2019 Specifications
The French carmaker has offered the same 1.5L K9K diesel and 1.5L petrol powertrains on the 2019 Renault Duster facelift. The oil burner continues to deliver two power outputs – 110PS and 85PS. Its torque output stands at 245Nm. The 1.5-litre petrol engine, paired to either 5-speed MT or CVT gearbox, pushes out a maximum power of 105bhp and 142Nm of maximum torque. While the diesel variants continue to come with a 6-speed manual and an AMT gearbox options, the petrol models are available with a 5-speed manual and a CVT automatic transmission.
New Renault Duster 2019 Mileage
As mentioned above, the 2019 Renault Duster facelift continues to feature the 110PS/85PS, 1.5L diesel and 1.5L petrol powertrains. Therefore, the fuel economy of the updated model is equivalent to the old one. The new Duster petrol delivers fuel economy over 14kmpl and the diesel unit returns a mileage of over 19kmpl-20kmpl.

With respect to safety, the 2019 Renault Duster facelift gets dual front airbags, ABS (Anti-Lock Braking System) with EBD (Electronic BrakeForce Distribution) as standard features. Besides, it also comes with 4×4 all-wheel-drive system with Locking differential lock with multiple driving modes. Safety bits such as ESP (electronic stability program), hill launch assist and rear parking camera with sensors are also on offer.
Should You Buy It?
Sporting subtle design updates, the 2019 Renault Duster facelift is surely a more premium and sportier than the previous model. Besides this, the SUV comes with a pack of new comfort and connectivity features. All these new attributes make the new Duster a good value for money product. Though, the SUV retains the old engine setup.
