The new Hyundai Creta is likely to make India debut at the 2020 Delhi Auto Expo

The new-generation Hyundai Creta has recently made its debut at the 2019 Shanghai Motor Show as the new ix25 SUV. The new model will go on sale in the Indian market in 2020. Hyundai could possibly unveil the India-spec model at the 2020 Delhi Auto Expo. The new model comes with radical design changes and an all-new premium interior.

In terms of design changes, the new Hyundai Creta gets more rounded profile than the squarish front. The design inspiration comes with bigger Hyundai SUVs including Santa Fe and Palisade. Some of the design highlights include signature hexagonal cascading grille with piano black finish and chrome treatment, dual-headlamp setup with LED daytime running lights, sculpted bonnet, skid plates, wider air-dams, strong beltline, dual-tone body colour, LED tail-lights, sloping roof, diamond cut alloy wheels and others.

The new model measures 4,300mm in length, 1,790mm in width, 1,620mm in height and has 2,610mm of wheelbase. It is 30mm longer, 10mm wider and 45mm shorter than the outgoing model. In fact, the wheelbase has been raised by 20mm to create more space inside the cabin. What’s interesting is that the India-spec model will also receive a 7-seater variant, which will have longer rear three quarter to accommodate 3rd row of seats. The New Hyundai Creta will also receive the new 1.5-litre petrol and diesel engines.
