Volkswagen Tiguan AllSpace SUV recently made its India debut, followed by its first public appearance at the Auto Expo 2020. Alongside the carmaker unveiled the all-new Volkswagen T-Roc and Tiagun SUVs. Official bookings of Tiguan AllSpace and Tiagun SUVs have been commenced ahead of their official launch. 1. Bookings, Launch Details
Volkswagen dealers have started taking pre-bookings for the new Tiguan AllSpace SUV across the nation. Booking amount, however, hasn’t been revealed by the carmaker. The 7-seater SUV will hit showrooms by mid 2020 (possibly in April).
2. Expected Price
In India, the Volkswagen Tiguan AllSpace will be imported as a CBU (Completely Built Up) unit and is expected to be priced between Rs 35 lakh – Rs 40 lakh (ex-showroom). At present, the 5-seater Tiguan comes in two variants – Comfortline and Highline – priced at Rs 27.49 lakh and Rs 30.87 lakh respectively (all, ex-showroom). 3. Longer than Tiguan
Compared to the standard Tiguan, the Volkswagen Tiguan AllSpace is 215mm longer, 2mm taller and sits on 110mm long wheelbase. The latter one measures 4710mm in length, 1839mm in width, 1674mm in height. Its wheelbase stands at 2787mm.
4. More Powerful than Tiguan
While the 5-seater Tiguan comes with a 143bhp, 2.0L diesel engine, the Tiguan AllSpace derives its power from a 190bhp, 2.0L turbo petrol motor. 5. Third Row Seat
With bigger dimensions, it accommodates a third row of seats and offers a luggage area of 230-litre. The boot space can be expanded 760-litres to 1920-litres by folding the third row of seats and the second row of seats respectively. Interior layout of the Tiguan AllSpace is exactly similar to the standard Tiguan.
