Volkswagen Polo GT, Vento And Jetta Recalled
The affected Volkswagen Polo GT models were manufactured from April 1, 2016 to March 31, 2017.
Volkswagen India has issued a recall for its three popular cars – the Polo GT hatchback, the Vento sedan and the Jetta luxury saloon. While the Polo GT 1.5L and Vento 1.5L will receive unspecified updates to the manual transmission, the MY2016 Jetta 1.4L TSI will get the carbon canister O-rings replacement after inspection if required. Volkswagen has announced that the recall exercise on September 15, 2018. The owners of the affected vehicles will be contacted by Volkswagen dealers for inspection and replacement of the O-rings and the transmission upgrade process. Customer can themselves check whether their vehicle comes under the recall or not by submitting their 17-character alpha numeric VIN (Vehicle Identification Number) on the VW’s official website. One can also directly contact Volkswagen Customer Care Center at 1800 102 0909 or 1800 209 0909.
