Toyota RAV4 (Honda CR-V Rival) Could Be Launched in India

Toyota RAV4 (1)

Japanese automaker, Toyota has recently discontinued the Corolla sedan from the Indian market. The company believes that buyers are now opting for SUVs instead of C-segment sedans. This makes us believe that Toyota could bring its global SUVs in the Indian market. The company’s global C-HR crossover has already been spotted in our market.

The Toyota C-HR crossover could be launched as a CKD unit to rival the likes of the Jeep Compass and Hyundai Tucson. The company is considering the RAV4 premium SUV for the Indian market. Already on sale in select international markets, the Toyota RAV4 is based on the TNGA light-weight platform that also underpins the new Camry, Prius, C-HR, and the Corolla hatchback.
