Toyota is all set to unveil the much-awaited Raize sub-4 meter SUV in Japan on November 5, 2019. This compact SUV is based on the Daihatsu Rocky SUV, which recently debuted at the 2019 Tokyo Motor Show. The exterior images of the Toyota Raize have already been leaked on the internet. This time, the interior images and details have leaked online.

The upcoming Toyota Raize shares most of its body parts, platform and engine with the Daihatsu Rocky. The interior pictures reveal that the design is also identical to that of the Rocky SUV. It gets a clean dashboard with a freestanding 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system placed above the centre console, digital instrument console and horizontally placed air vents. Toyota Raize Interior Leaked

The only difference is the Toyota logo on the steering in place of the Daihatsu. The SUV offers a luggage carrying capacity of 369-litres. In terms of proportions, the Toyota Raize is 3,995mm long, 1,620mm wide, 1,695mm tall and has a wheelbase of 2,525mm. The dimensions are similar to that of the Daihatsu Rocky.

The Toyota Raize/ Daihatsu Rocky were first previewed as the Daihatsu DN D-Trec concept. Featuring RAV4 like front design, the SUV gets a large trapezoidal grille with mesh inserts, newly styled fog lamps and LED DRLs, etc. The mini SUV rides on 17-inch chunky alloys. At the back, the SUV has horizontally stacked wraparound tail-lamps with LED inserts, thick chrome bar on the boot-lid and the floating D-pillar. Also See – Toyota Raize Brochure

Powering the Toyota Raize is a 1.0-litre 3-cylinder, 12-valve turbo-petrol engine that is capable of producing 98bhp of power at 6,000rpm and 140.2Nm of torque at 2,400-4,000rpm. Transmission choices include a CVT and a six-speed manual. The front-wheel-drive layout will come as standard, while the top-end model will have a 4WD layout.
