The Toyota Fortuner has been the best-selling premium SUV in India for more than a decade. The rising competition and newer models have started impacting the sales of the Fortuner. In terms of features, the SUV starts looking basic infront of the competition. The Japanese automaker is now reportedly readying a special edition of its popular SUV. The report claims that the Toyota Fortuner Limited Edition will be launched very soon.

Commenting on the same, Naveen Soni, senior vice president, sales and service, Toyota Kirloskar Motor, said, “Coming very soon is a limited-edition version of the Toyota Fortuner.”

The Toyota Fortuner Limited Edition will receive more features than the standard model. Similar to the Innova Crysta Leadership Edition, the special edition of the Fortuner is likely to receive cosmetic additions on the inside and outside. It is also likely to get features like a 360-degree camera and auto-folding outside rear view mirrors.

It is expected that the Fortuner Limited Edition will be priced slightly premium over the standard SUV. The outgoing model is available in the price band of Rs 28.18 lakh to Rs 33.95 lakh. The company will gradually increase the BS6 Fortuner’s prices. The current model is priced similar to the BS4 model.

Toyota has already started testing the Fortuner facelift, which is expected to be launched in the end of 2020. Adding to it, the company is also readying the facelift version of the Innova Crysta which is likely to be launched in 2021. The Japanese automaker will also launch the re-badged versions of the Maruti Vitara Brezza and the Ertiga in the country in the next couple of years. Toyota and Suzuki are also developing an all-new C-segment MPV and an all-new mid-sized SUV, which are expected to be launched in 2022.
