Tata Harrier’s price ranges between Rs 12.69 lakh – Rs 16.25 lakh (ex-showroom, Mumbai).

The long wait for the Tata Harrier is finally over, as the home-grown carmaker has rolled out its premium 5-seater SUV in the Indian market. Available in four variants – XE, XM, XT and XZ, the Harrier’s price ranges between Rs 12.69 lakh – Rs 16.25 lakh (ex-showroom, Mumbai). One must note that these are introductory prices. In this price range, the vehicle will take on multiple products right from Jeep Compass and Hyundai Tucson to Hyundai Creta and Mahindra XUV500.

Under the hood, the Tata Harrier hearts a 2.0L Kryotec diesel engine pushing out power worth 138bhp (140PS) with 350Nm of torque. This BS6-ready oil burner comes with a 6-speed manual transmission and FWD (front-wheel-drive) system. The Tata Harrier is the brand’s first vehicle to underpin the OMEGARC (Optimal Modular Efficient Global Advanced Architecture) platform and feature the next-generation IMPACT design 2.0 language. The new OMEAG architecture has been jointly developed by Tata and Jaguar Land Rover.

On the safety front, the Tata Harrier gets dual front airbags, ABS with EBD and rear parking sensors as standard. The six airbags, hill hold and descent assist, rollover mitigation, corner stability control, electronic stability programme, electronic traction control and ISOFIX child seat mounts are exclusively offered on the range-toping trim.
