2019 Maruti Suzuki WagonR Launched at a Starting Price of Rs 4.19 Lakh
The 2019 Maruti Suzuki WagonR carline comes in three trims – Lxi, VXi and ZXi.
The third-generation Maruti Suzuki WagonR is finally here. The Indo-Japanese carmaker has launched the new Maruti WagonR 2019 at a starting price of Rs 4.19 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The hatchback carline comes in three trims – Lxi, VXi and ZXi – and two petrol engines and LPG fuel options. Unlike the old model, the new WagonR has been built on the lightweight HEARTECT platform that makes it stiffer, safer and more efficient than before.

The new Maruti WagonR 2019 continues to carry its signature tall-boy stance. Though, it receives comprehensive design and feature upgrades along with minor dimensional changes. The hatchback’s new model is longer, wider and more spacious than its predecessor. The overall length, width and height of the new 2019 WagonR stand at 3599mm, 1495mm and 1670mm respectively. For power, the new Maruti WagonR 2019 makes use of a 1.0L K-Series petrol and a new 1.2L petrol engine. The latter one is carried over from the Swift hatchback. The existing 1.0L gasoline unit delivers power worth 67bhp with 91Nm and the new 1.2L motor produces 82bhp with 113Nm of torque. All variants of the hatchback get a 5-speed manual transmission as standard. The AMT (ASG – Auto GearShift) gearbox is reserved for the top-spec VXI and ZXI trims. The new Maruti WagonR 2019 is made available in six colour options – Poolside Blue, Superior White, Magma Grey, Silky Silver, Nutmeg Brown and Autumn Orange. Some of its key design changes include new front grille, sweptback headlamps, slightly longer bonnet, revised bumpers, electrically adjustable and retractable wing mirrors with integrated turn signals, more prominent wheel arches and new horizontal taillamps. Interior of the new Maruti WagonR 2019 looks more upmarket than before. It gets a 7.0-inch SmartPlay touchscreen infotainment system with smartphone connectivity (top-spec trim only), newly-designed dashboard and instrument cluster and multi-functional steering wheel with mounted controls. Safety features such as dual airbags and ABS with EBD have been made standard across the carline.
