Tata Harrier Gets Segment-Best JBL Sound System

Tata Harrier is claimed to feature the state-of-the-art JBL speakers & sub-woofer set-up that guarantees music to your ears

The much-anticipated Tata Harrier 5-seater premium SUV will have its global debut in December 2018. Bookings for the Harrier have already been commenced, while the launch is scheduled in January 2019. Ahead of the global debut, Tata Motors has started revealing interesting details of the SUV via a series of teaser videos. The latest teaser video reveals the JBL sound system of the Harrier.

In the teaser, Tata Motors claim that the state-of-the-art JBL speakers of the Harrier guaranteed to be music to your ears. The SUV’s touchscreen unit will be sourced from Visteon. The Tata Harrier is built on OMEGA Arc platform, which is sourced from Land Rover D8 platform. This platform also underpins the Land Rover Discovery Sport, the Evoque and the I-Pace. Tata Harrier JBL Sound System Teaser

Another teaser revealed the basic design of the Harrier’s dashboard. It features a floating 8.8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, which is compatible with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The interior sports a dual-tone grey-and-brown colour scheme. It sports a leather-wrapped 3-spoke steering wheel along with silver surrounds for the air-conditioning vents.

The Tata Harrier SUV is equipped with a 2.0-litre KRYOTEC diesel engine, which is derived from Fiat’s 4-cylinder MultiJet II diesel engine that powers the Jeep Compass. This engine is capable of producing 140bhp of power and 300Nm of torque. Power will be transmitted to the front-wheels via a 6-speed manual gearbox. The automatic version will arrive in the 7-seater version of the Harrier, which will arrive in the second half of 2019.
