Tata Motors India has silently introduced the all-new Movus MPV in the Indian car market. The vehicle is offered in two variants- CX and LX, and is available in two exterior shades- Porcelain White, Metero Silver. The all-new Tata Movus is priced at Rs. 6.99 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
Speaking on the launch of the all-new Tata Movus, Mr. Ranjit Yadav – President, Passenger Vehicle Business Unit, Tata Motors, said, “The all-new Movus is a great proposition for large families as it is spacious, easy to maintain, economical for both short and long distances, delivering great value without compromising on comfort. As an entry-level UV, the all-new Movus, a big and reliable vehicle comes at a price point which will provide our customers with best-in-class ride quality, making it a perfect partner for every journey. The vehicle is commercially available at dealerships located in metros and select cities.”
Under the hood, the Tata Movus gets the high performance 2.2-litre VARICOR engine that is capable of developing a top power output of 120PSW and a peak torque of 250Nm. This engine is claimed to offer an impressive fuel economy of 15.16kmpl. The vehicle gets Independent Double Wishbone with coil spring type suspensions at front and Parabolic Leaf Spring-type suspension for the rear wheels. The vehicle also has a large fuel tank of 65 litres and high load carrying capability.
The vehicle has a ground clearance of 180mm which is more than sufficient to drive it through rugged Indian roads. With a long wheelbase of 2550mm, the vehicle offers a flexible seating option in the 7, 8 & 9 configuration with front facing, side facing and captain seats. The Movus MPV has a low-turning radius of 5.35 metre and tiltable power steering, which makes it easier to maneuver in the City traffic.
