Hyundai India has officially launched the more powerful variant of Eon hatchback with 1.0-litre Kappa engine in the Indian market. The new 1.0-litre Eon is now available along with the current 0.8-litre Eon. The Eon 1.0 Kappa is offered with Magna+ variant and is priced at Rs. 3.83 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi).

The Euro 5 ready 1.0-litre Kappa petrol engine is fitted with latest Dual VTVT technology and it offers high performance, with improved fuel economy and low emissions. This 1.0-litre 3-cylinder engine churns out a maximum power output of 69PS at 6200rpm and a peak torque of 94bhp at 3500rpm. It is claimed to offer an impressive fuel efficiency of 20.3kmpl (ARAI Certified). The 1.0 Litre engine is mated with 5-speed manual gearbox which offers smooth gear shifting and has low noise gear design for improved NVH.
