Suzuki has started testing its much anticipated iV-4 concept-based SUV. Unveiled at the 2014 Beijing Motor Show, the compact SUV is scheduled to make its debut at the 2014 Paris Motor Show. The Suzuki iV-4 compact SUV concept model is designed to offer a true off-roading feel as well as urban comfort to its buyers.
Suzuki iV-4 based SUV features signature five-bar grille which is directly lifted from the concept model. We expect that Maruti Suzuki might also bring this product in the Indian car market; however, it is quite early to comment on the same.
The new Suzuki iV-4 is expected to share its engine line-up with the India-bound SX4 S-Cross. This model will also be offered with AllGrip all-wheel drive system. It will be offered in both petrol and diesel guise. Both models are likely to feature the 1.6L petrol and diesel powertrain that churns out a maximum power output of 118bhp.
The Suzuki iV-4 Compact SUV concept measures 4,215mm in length, 1,850mm in width and 1,665mm of height, and it has a large wheelbase of 2,500mm. The production of the iV-4 concept model will start at Magyar plant in Hungary and will first go on sale in European markets in 2015.
