Suzuki has displayed the sportier and more aggressive looking Suzuki Ignis Motocross Style at 2017 GIIAS

Joining Maruti India’s premium range earlier this year, Ignis is now turning heads at the 2017 GIIAS. Interestingly, P.T Suzuki Indomobil is displaying the model in different avatars at the ongoing GAIKINDO Indonesia International Auto Show. Contrary to the suave looking G-Urban and S-Urban concepts showcased at the event, the company has also displayed the sportier and more aggressive looking Suzuki Ignis Motocross Style. Prior to 2017 GIIAS, the one-off Motocross Style made an appearance at the 2017 Tokyo Motor Show earlier this year in January. Suzuki Ignis MotoCross Rear

The Suzuki Ignis Motocross Style receives new elements in tandem with Suzuki’s Factory racing motocross bikes. Sporting bright yellow paint, it gets contrast black striping and bold ‘Suzuki’ lettering on the bonnet, at side and rear bumper. Up front, there is projector headlamps with LED units and daytime running lights, while the taillamps have been carried over from the standard model. It additionally gets thick body cladding on the front and rear bumpers. Riding on special off-road tires, it gets special 6-spoke matte brown alloy wheels. Changes on the inside include an internal roll cage and Recaro racing seats. For an assertive look, the one-off Ignis also gets red brake callipers, new exhaust, yellow accents and matte black roof.

In India, Ignis made its debut in January this year and is sold under Maruti’s NEXA umbrella. The model is available in both petrol and diesel engines with a 5-speed manual and 5-speed AMT unit. Priced at Rs 4.56 lakh (ex-showroom price) Ignis goes squarely against Mahindra KUV100 in the segment. As for the Indonesian market, the petite model is offered with the 1.2L k-Series petrol engine good for 83bhp and 113Nm with a standard 5-speed manual transmission and an optional AGS on the range topping GX AT.
