Suzuki GSX300 (Gixxer 300) Production-Ready Model Leaked

Haojue DR300 Patent

It is expected that the India-spec Gixxer 250 will share the styling cues from the new Haojue DR300.

Next-generation Haojue DR300 has been leaked online via patent images. The new motorcycle was first previewed in concept form at Chongqin Mobo Fair 2018. The production-spec model looks quite different from the concept. It will first go on sale in the Chinese market, which will be followed by other markets where it will be sold as the Suzuki GSX-S300 or Gixxer 300.

The patent images reveal some of the interesting details of the new Suzuki 300cc motorcycles, like dual-channel ABS, extended number plate holder, aggressive styling and side reflectors. In Europe, the motorcycle is likely to be fitted with a Euro-6 compliant engine. In terms of styling, the new Haojue DR300 gets full LED, twin-pod headlight with dual-tone casing. It comes with aggressive front fascia with a compact fairing.

The motorcycle comes with digital instrument console with Bluetooth connectivity option, which shows messages, calls and music. Featuring a tall-set handlebar, the motorcycle offers a tall and upright position. The motorcycle gets contrasting colour scheme of black, grey and silver, which is visible on the headlight casing, fuel tank and tail section. It comes with a single piece seat configuration.

For suspension mechanism, the global-spec model gets USD front forks at the front and a monoshock unit at the rear. It gets dual disc brakes with dual-channel ABS as standard. This model is not likely to make its way to our market. In India, Suzuki is developing a new 250cc Gixxer range. The company is likely to launch the Gixxer 250 naked streetfighter in June, followed by the fully-faired Gixxer 250 SF later this year. It is expected that the India-spec Gixxer 250 will share the styling cues from the new Haojue DR300.
