The Skoda Kamiq 5-seater premium compact SUV will make public debut at the 2019 Geneva Motor Show in March.

The much-anticipated Skoda Kamiq will make its public debut at the 2019 Geneva Motor Show, which is scheduled to take place from March 5 to 17. The company has recently revealed a couple of design sketches of the SUV, revealing the front and rear profile. Now, the company has revealed the interior of the premium compact SUV. The Kamiq will also arrive in India in 2020 and will rival the likes of the Hyundai Creta, Nissan Kicks and the upcoming Kia SP2 SUV.

Skoda claims that the Kamiq SUV design is inspired from the Vision X concept that debuted in 2018. Similar to other Skoda cars, the new compact SUV gets clean and clutter-free cabin. It comes equipped with a freestanding touchscreen infotainment system, which will be compatible with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and MirrorLink. It will also come with an optional virtual cockpit that features a large 10.25-inches display.

The Skoda Kamiq’s cabin feels premium and features high-quality, soft -touch materials with a new, crystalline structure based on a unique grain. The similar treatment can be seen on the door trims and around centre console. It will also get ambient colour options like copper, red or white. The SUV will receive Suedia, a fine micro-fibre material for the seat upholstery and optional heating system for the windscreen, rear seats and steering wheel. It is based on the versatile MQB AO platform that also underpins the new-gen Polo, VW T-Cross and Seat Arona. The Skoda Kamiq comes with a wheelbase of 2,651mm, which in return offers spacious cabin. It will also receive adjustable rear seats that can be move forward and backward to free up to 73mm knee room. The SUV offers a 400-litre of boot space, which can be further extended to 1,395-litres by folding the rear seats.
