2019 Maruti Suzuki Ignis Facelift Coming Soon – Report

Maruti Ignis Review Front

The 2019 Maruti Ignis facelift is reported to go on sale in coming months.

Maruti Suzuki India (MSI) will soon introduce the updated version of the Ignis mini SUV in the country. According to a fresh media report, the company has stopped production of the existing Maruti Ignis in order to make way for the facelifted model. Though, the Nexa dealers are still accepting bookings for the current version of the mini SUV.

Just so you know, the Maruti Ignis was first launched in January 2017 and has been popular among urban buyers. Interestingly, it was the first offering from the Indo-Japanese carmaker to come with petrol and diesel powertrains with combination of both manual and automatic gearboxes. Maruti Suzuki, however, discontinued diesel variants of the Ignis in June 2018 due to poor demand. Read – Maruti Suzuki Ertiga Crossover Details Revealed

Similar to the new Baleno facelift, the new Maruti Ignis 2019 will receive slightly different front and rear bumpers and newly-designed alloy wheels. The lower variants of the mini SUV might get LED projector headlamps as standard. Interior will also be revised with Maruti Suzuki’s new SmartPlay Studio infotainment system that we have seen in the Baleno facelift and new-generation WagonR hatchback.

Currently, the Maruti Suzuki Ignis comes in four trims – Sigma, Delta, Zeta and Alpha – packed with a 1.3L petrol engine with manual and AMT gearbox options. The gasoline unit generates power worth 81.80bhp and 113Nm of torque. Prices of the mini SUV start from Rs 4.66 lakh (Sigma MT) and go up to Rs 7.05 lakh (Alpha AT). All prices are ex-showroom Delhi.
