Revolt RV400 Electric Bike Launch Date Announced
Revolt Intellicorp, the Gurugram-based electric vehicle start-up, is ready to launch its first product in India on August 7, 2019. Called Revolt RV 400, the electric bike was unveiled last month and has bagged over 2500 bookings so far. Official bookings are currently open only in Delhi and Pune.
The company will commence taking pre-bookings in 6 more cities (Mumbai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Chennai, Kolkata and Ahmadabad) in the next four months. Interested buyers can also pre-book the electric bike online via Amazon India and Revolt Motors’ official website. Booking can be made by paying an initial sum of Rs 1,000, which is fully refundable.

Touted as India’s first AI (Artificial Intelligence) enabled and connected motorcycle, the Revolt RV 400 comes with a swappable lithium ion batteries and an electric motor. It’s claimed to deliver an ARAI-certified range of 156km and a top speed of 85kmph. The bikemaker says that it performs exactly similar to the regular 125cc motorcycles.
The Revolt RV 400 offers several connectivity features such as cloud connectivity, geo-fencing, OTA (over-the-air) updates and remote diagnostics. The company is also providing a Revolt mobile app offering view of the motorcycle. The electric bike can be charged in four ways – mobile swap station, portable charging, on-board charging and deliver on demand option. It will come in a choice of two paint schemes – Rebel Red and Cosmic Black.
