Renault HBC Compact SUV Spotted For The First Time
The first spy pictures of the Renault HBC subcompact SUV have emerged on the web. The test mule was heavy camouflaged, though you can notice the signature grille, fog lamp assembly, headlamps, taillamps and rear windscreen with wiper.
Some of its design bits are likely to be carried over from the Renault Triber compact MPV. The vehicle might also get pronounced wheel arches, roof rails and side bold creases.
Compared to the Triber, its ground clearance will be higher. The Renault HBC will share its platform (CMF-A+) with the Kwid, but sit on a longer wheelbase.
At the engine front, the Renault HBC compact SUV is likely to receive a new 1.0L, 3-cylinder turbocharged petrol motor. Reports suggest that the new turbo motor will make debut on Triber in coming months. It will deliver power around 95bhp. It can be had either with a 5-speed manual gearbox or an AMT unit.
The Renault HBC compact SUV will make its first public appearance at the 2020 Auto Expo next month. It’s launch will happen by June, 2020.
The new subcompact SUV from the French carmaker will go up against the Hyundai Venue, Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, Mahindra XUV300, Tata Nexon and Ford EcoSport along with the upcoming Kia QYi subcompact SUV.
